Female, 40 years old, 2 years with T1D

I was diagnosed with LADA in Dec 2023 at the age of 39. It was a sudden transition for my body, mind and for my family. My main source of information and support was from my endocrine doctor. Besides this, the level of community support and groups out there, for an newly diagnosed T1D, is quite limited. Thankfully a friend of mine has a cousin who is also dealing with her child who has T1D. She subsequently introduced me to several podcasts, and the sharing of her experiences were valuable source of information. I’m also extremely thankful for my friends and colleagues who have supported me in my journey.
