Together with Diabetes Singapore, Yuhua Community Club marked International Women’s Day by shining a light on a critical issue: the importance of diabetes awareness among women. Women, often the pillars of our families and communities, may neglect their health while caring for others. This makes them especially susceptible to conditions like diabetes.  We emphasized the need for education, preventive care, and tailored healthcare services to empower women towards healthier lives, aiming for true gender equality.

Our event was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests including Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations and Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Senior Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Health.

Diabetes Singapore provided comprehensive diabetes screening including risk evaluations and HbA1c and glucose testing. This event was a collaboration between Diabetes Singapore, The Jurong GRC Women’s Executive Committee members, volunteers, the EyRIS Team, and Lions Club of Singapore Caring Palms.
