‘Tee Off Against Diabetes’ Charity Golf

Diabetes Singapore held our first ever Charity Golf event. Under the bright sun, 32 flights of golfers teed off in support of our fight against diabetes. Blessed with dry weather, our participants had much to enjoy on the course, including numerous novelty stations with prizes to win. Later in the evening, at our fund-raising dinner, more generosity was on display and donors and bidders alike contributed significantly at our charity auction.

We are grateful for the advocacy of our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Kian Peng Seah, Speaker of Parliament, whose presence underscores the national priority of this issue. Our sincere thanks to our corporate sponsors, whose generosity enabled the day’s proceedings. And to our volunteers – the engine of the day – this would not have been possible without your heart and passion.

The support from this initiative enables focused investment in three critical areas of prevention and care:

• Early detection: Scaling public health screenings to close the perception gap and identify at-risk individuals sooner.
• Continuous support: Building education and support systems for those newly diagnosed and their families.
• Upstream prevention: Providing resources and education to the wider community, particularly our youth, to foster long-term health resilience.

The War on Diabetes continues unabated, our work, an ongoing commitment. We look forward to building on the momentum from this event alongside our partners to create a healthier Singapore.
